The Sequoia offers eight-passenger seating with cavernous cargo space at a lower price than the upscale Land Cruiser. The sole engine is a 381-hp 5.7-liter V-8 with a maximum tow capacity of 7400 pounds. Multi-mode four-wheel drive with a limited-slip center differential handles the rough stuff or slick roads. While capable off-road, the suspension has an unsettled ride on uneven pavement. Interior quality is not Land Cruiser standards; still, the Sequoia will meet the needs of most buyers.
