Nissan Maxima

Once billed as the “four-door sports car,” the Maxima has grown bigger and heavier over the decades. The current generation, which has been around since 2008, is starting to show its age. It remains spacious and comfortable, however, with a firm ride, precise steering and strong, 290-hp V-6 engine. That goes some way to make the Maxima feel capable on the road, but the moaning CVT and front-wheel drivetrain suck most of the joy from the experience.
