Think of the Toyota Highlander as a Camry on stilts. This roomy crossover bundles reliability and refinement with seven-passenger seating. A 2.7-liter four-cylinder is standard; an optional 3.5-liter V-6 does double-duty in the upper and hybrid trims. A redesigned Highlander is due in early 2014.
