Nissan Cube

Whimsical styling sets the Cube apart from its boxy competitors, but unfortunately, that’s about all it has going for it. A 1.8-liter four making 122 hp with a six-speed manual or continuously variable automatic makes for a surprisingly refined powertrain, but acceleration is sluggish, and the suspension is tuned more for comfort than cornering prowess. The interior is roomy and comfortable, though. The seats are wide with plenty of cushioning, and there are several cubbies for stashing gear.
