Mini Cooper Clubman
Take the Mini coupe, stretch it almost 10 inches across a 3-inch longer wheelbase, add a right-side rear-hinged door, and you get this less mini—but slightly more useful—Mini. The length doesn’t mute the sharp road inputs or dim the car’s cute, eager looks while adding real utility; there’s room for two big dogs, if nothing else. However, the rear doors add a blind spot, the ride is improved only a bit, and the 121-hp four has to work hard to keep up. For more power, there are S/JCW models.
