 Mercedes offers several variants of its five-passenger luxury SUV including rear- and all-wheel-drive versions of the V-6 ML350; the diesel ML350 BlueTec; and the ML550, with its 402-hp twin-turbo V-8. Both the ML550 and the diesel feature all-wheel drive, and the BlueTec boasts 28 mpg on the highway. With off-road ability sacrificed for comfort, the ML is a serene highway cruiser. It's not particularly fun to drive, and while the standard-features list is rich, options raise the price fast.
