 Breathtakingly expensive, hugely powerful, incredibly thirsty, and anachronistic in appearance, the G63 AMG is not for the shy. Although updated slightly last year with a new grille, revised lighting, and a freshened interior, it retains its basic 35-year-old fashionista-meets-Sandinista look. Power comes from a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 mated to a seven-speed automatic, 4MATIC is standard, and it’s highly capable off-road although it’s more likely to be seen outside a Hollywood hot spot.
