 For years, we pined for Ford's hot Fiesta hatchback to be sold here. Upon arrival, it quickly earned a place on our 10Best list, thanks to a delightful turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, a slick six-speed manual, and an agile chassis. Torque steer is nearly absent, and skilled drivers can even induce some predictable oversteer with judicious use of the throttle. Since the Fiesta uses all its 197 hp nearly all the time, it fights above its class to offer impressive performance at a bargain price.
