Ford Explorer

 The Ford Explorer hangs in a tough neighborhood, but still does okay, thanks to a premium interior that holds seven passengers, high-tech features, and solid mechanicals. A 290-hp V-6 is standard; a 2.0-liter 240-hp turbocharged four-cylinder is optional. The Explorer Sport boasts a 365-hp V-6 and all-wheel drive. The Explorer offers a quiet interior and a solid ride. It does, however, feel 1.5 times larger than it is.
