BMW X3

The X3 effectively blends utility with sporty dynamics and enough luxury to keep drivers from feeling as if “crossover” equals compromise. The turbo four in the xDrive28i churns out 240 hp and ample torque through all four wheels via a standard eight-speed automatic. The xDrive35i boasts 300 ponies, using a bit more fuel to do the job. Selectable chassis modes improve agility with more aggressive throttle mapping and quicker steering. Options are pricey, but even the base X3 is well equipped.
